Life with three...
Yesterday was an eventful day while picking Emma up from school. I had gotten Megan up and had her go potty so she'd be ready for the ride. Tessa had just woken up from her nap as well and was quite hungry, but had to wait for us to make it to the school. The three of us arrived in good time, a bit early, so I decided to feed Tess before getting Emma. Meggie pretended to drive the van while Tess got to work eating. All was going well; I was keeping an eye on the clock and we were doing fine. Within minutes, things changed. Megan tells me she has to go potty and not just potty...but well, ya know, poopoos (as well call it). Luckily we have a potty seat in the van. So, while breastfeeding Tessa, I reach in between the front seats and hold up Tessa's car seat so Megan can fit to do what needs to be done. She proudly finishes and asks if she needs to wipe. "Yes," I say as calmly as possible to her as she stands up and tell her to sit a minute. I find a pack of kleenex next to me and all while feeding a wide-eyed, latched-on Tessa, I get Meg wiped up. At this point, I think Tess had had plenty of this ride and I set her in the driver's seat (she looked quite cute ready to drive). I get Megan's coat back on cause it's darn cold here right now, wrap up Tess and make it inside to pick Emma up late. Luckily, Em's friend Abby was still there with her and their teacher had put them to work =) We get out to the van and Emma gets inside, only to respond with a loud, "What's that smell?" I tell her about our adventures and Emma says, "Well, everyone's gotta go I guess." We get everyone buckled up and I get into the van for our odiforous ride home. So, if you're wife tells you she's had a pretty stinky day...give her a big hug, she just might mean literally!
